However, you can always copy Adobe lens profiles from newer versions of the DNG Converter into the user profile area of Lightroom, and they will be seen by Lightroom as if they were profiles you created or downloaded from a third-party. DNG converter’s profiles are stored in Camera Raw/Photoshop location while Lightroom has its own location, thus updating DNG converter does not automatically apply new profiles to Lightroom. AFAIK Lightroom do not store RAW module on the same place and do not use (in general) PS CameraRAW.

Luckily, Adobe gives away new lens and camera profiles for free via the DNG converter. If you delete it you will not be able to edit raw files with any of those programs. In the top right corner, click the three dots icon and choose Import Profiles & Presets.
In ACR and Lightroom Classic, Adobe Standard was the lone Adobe Raw profile available, and within Lightroom CC (including the iOS, Android, ChromeOS, and Web versions), Adobe Standard. The first step to install presets to do colour grading in Camera Raw is to leave your download as a zip file and in ACR, go to Presets. But it has since been discontinued along with AIR Adobe Raw profiles have existed for as long as Adobe has made raw rendering software (the first version being the plug-in version of Adobe Camera Raw in 2003). While Sony FE lenses can bake lens corrections into the RAW file, as do the Tamron FE trinity, it would be nice to get new camera and lens profile into Lightroom itself.Īdobe used to provide a software utility called Adobe lens profile downloader, written in its AIR technology.
